Apple: “Get a Mac” commercials out, “Why you’ll love a Mac” campaign in
May 21st, 2010

The recognizable “Get a Mac” television commercials, featuring John Hodgman and Justin Long as the PC and Mac guy, have seen there last days. There have been rumors of the end of the campaign since Justin Long, the actor who played the “Mac” character in the commercials, revealed his impressions that the campaign had finished. The last set of commercials were released in October 2009 directed at the release of Windows 7

In related news, Apple has released a new online ad campaign called “Why You’ll Love a Mac“. The new ads focus on the benefits of using a Mac over a Windows PC, a familiar theme for Apple. The message is simplified into five categories: hardware, software, OS, support, and compatibility. The web-based ad shows useful information aimed to convert all of those potential PC “swtichers” out there. As for Apple’s plan for a new Mac television campaign, it remains a mystery. Any ideas for the next Mac TV campaign?
