Warner Bros. Launches App-Based Feature Films

Yesterday, Warner Brothers announced that they will begin selling movies as apps in the Apple Store. The apps offer a downloadable version as well as a streaming version of the movie.

So far, Inception is available for $11.99, and The Dark Knight for $9.99.

The apps are available as universal apps for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, they offers subtitles and have a component that allow users to interact via Facebook and Twitter.

The New iPhone Prototypes

Apple.pro reports that apple has been testing three different prototypes. A prototype similar to the iPhone 4 with an upgraded battery life and an 8-megapixel camera. Another prototype of the new iPhone Nano. The third prototype that has been rumored to float around China is the iPhone with the slid out keyboard.

Apple.pro has a strong track record of providing leaked Apple information. Recently the site posted photos of a small Apple-branded touchscreen months before the iPod Nano with Multi-Touch appeared.

Verizon new iPhone ad targets AT&T’s poor voice quality reputation

It’s beautiful. It’s intelligent. Even genius. But does your network work? …ring… “Yes, I can hear you now.” This is Americas largest and reliable network. Built so you can rule the air.”

And so far early reviews from Macworld, TechCrunch, All Things D and Engadget seem to agree that Verizon’s reception is better than At&T’s for voice call.

How iOS Gaming Is Evolving

Games for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad are quickly evolving in quality and game play. This rapid evolution is part thanks to a huge sales revenue. Just today, Electronic Arts revealed that it’s mobile game sale gross for Q3 reached $59 million, surpassing its other businesses platforms for the first time. The latest EA iOS game release Dead Space, is a great example of what mobile gaming can do in terms of quality and game play.

Is Apple’s New iPhone Spot Accurate?

As Verizon and AT&T duke it out for iPhone market share, things couldn’t be better for Apple. Watching from the sidelines as the service providers do all of the “heavy lifting,” Apple released this commercial showing why it’s good to be the king.

While Apple has no reason to pick favorites, you do. These results from CNET’s preliminary Verizon/ AT&T iPhone “speed test” tell a different story.
