The Most Irritating World Cup Sound Ever: The Vuvuzela for Your iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch
June 17th, 2010

Even if you are not a soccer fan you have likely heard the latest stir about the vuvuzela horn. The horn is a South African instrument that is played constantly throughout the FIFA World Cup games by thousands of fans. Here’s a taste: (if you’re at work, please turn down the volume)

Many World Cup spectators both inside the stadium and those who watch from home  have complained about the irritating noise of the vuvuzela. Though there have been reports of some trying to ban the horn from the games, the “vuvu” has been defended by FIFA and South Africans alike and it is here to stay. The makers of the vuvuzela app for iPhone, iPad, and iPad touch tell us, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.

The Vuvuzela 2010 app simply blares the buzzing horn sound that all soccer fans love… well, almost all soccer fans. Love it or hate it, the app modeled after the vuvuzela is already the number one bestseller in many countries and it has been downloaded 750,000+ times internationally. It is now available for free at the iTune Store. Download it if you want to immerse yourself in the World Cup or use it just to irritate those around you.
